As a Modeling and Simulation Engineer and Data Analyst with MTSI, you will be responsible for providing Modeling and Simulation (M&S) support of Electro Optical and Infrared technologies to the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL). Responsibilities :
Provide Modeling and Simulation (M&S) and data analysis for Electro Optical (EO) and Infrared (IR) cutting-edge technologiesUse data analysis and / or software tools to generate scientific results to support R&D programmatic decisionsProvide analytical / modeling subject matter expertise advisement to senior engineers, program managers, and senior leaders to help drive sound technological decisionsAnalyze end user requirements and provide recommendations based on scientific results and developmental risksEvaluate proposed projects for feasibility and applicability to relevant miliary mission areasParticipate in strategic planning and development of systems architectures as well as recommend requirements for new projectsIdentify and recommend alternative or new Research and Development (R&D) strategiesGenerate documents, briefings, roadmaps, and planning materials to support the customer missionWork closely with program managers, lead project engineers, and program teamsQualifications :
Qualifications Required :
Active DoD Secret Clearance with ability to obtain a TS / SCI clearance8-10 years' experience with M&S and data analysis, MATLAB, and Python, image and signal processing8-10 years’ technology development experience with EO, lasers, and / or IR systemsExperience with EO sensors, IR Search and Track (IRST) systems, Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR), laser optics, image processing, signal processing, and statisticsStrong EO / IR data analysis and performance modeling computing skillsMATLAB and / or Python expertise is requiredProficient knowledge of software development and / or software maintenanceExperience processing image / signal data and a working knowledge on data-basing, data storage, and data archivingSufficient EO / IR experience to produce trusted results and communicate recommendations to the customerAbility to develop and present analysis results briefings to senior leadershipExperience in generating requirements analysis and definitions at the mission and systems engineering levelsMust work well within a team environment to identify and apply best practicesStrong skills in documenting inputs, outputs, and requirementsExperience working withExperience developing high-level project / work plansFamiliarity with EO modeling tools such as MODTRAN, LEEDR, and DIRSIGClear and effective oral and written communications skillsEducation :
Education : Bachelor's degree in, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or related technical field. A Master's degree in a similar field is highly desired.Clearance Requirements :
