Infrastructure Engineer - Hardware Engineer

Role :  Linux Administrator / Hardware Engineer

Key Skills :

Must-have :  Linux, server-side hardware, programming (Bash, Python).

Nice-to-have :  VMware, Hyper-V.

Responsibilities :

Collaborate with end users to define requirements and validate test cases.

Ensure alignment between hardware qualification and user needs.

Conduct performance and power testing, publishing key insights.

Develop and execute test frameworks, configure bare metal servers, and optimize OS environments using vendor tools.

Design and manage lab automation using technologies like Ansible and Terraform.

Perform performance evaluations using frameworks like Phoronix.

Analyze and compare market trends for on-prem and cloud-based solutions.

Minimum Qualifications :

Bachelor's or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

7+ years of hands-on engineering experience building systems for datacenter environments or large-scale computing.

7+ years of proven troubleshooting expertise in server hardware.

Strong understanding of PCIe, networking, flash memory, CPU, GPU, and DRAM (DDR4 / 5 or HBM).

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience with Linux scripting (Bash, CLI, ILO, RedFish, SSACLI, STOCLI).

Familiarity with RHEL / CentOS and Windows environments.

Knowledge of BIOS, firmware, and patch validation processes.

Experience in server performance testing using virtualization technologies like VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, or KVM.

Proficiency in administrative tools such as JIRA, PowerPoint, and Excel.
