Systems Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Systems Engineer to join our team as a permanent, full-time employee. The Systems Engineer will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining technology infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security. Key Responsibilities

  • System Design and Implementation : Design, deploy, and maintain hardware, software, and networks to meet evolving business needs.
  • Infrastructure Management : Oversee system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal functionality and availability.
  • Automation and Optimization : Create and implement automated processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual workloads.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with software developers, network engineers, and other IT professionals to ensure seamless integration across systems.
  • Systems Security : Implement and maintain robust security measures to safeguard technology assets and data, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Proactive Maintenance : Schedule and manage upgrades, patches, and routine maintenance tasks, ensuring systems are up-to-date and performing optimally.
  • Documentation and Reporting : Create and maintain technical documentation related to system configurations, policies, and procedures.
  • Problem Resolution : Diagnose and resolve system issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted business operations.

Requirements

  • Education : Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
  • Experience : Proven experience as a Systems Engineer or similar role, with a strong track record in managing IT systems in enterprise environments.
  • Technical Expertise : Proficiency in Windows / Linux operating systems, virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware), cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and scripting / automation tools.
  • Networking Knowledge : Solid understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and infrastructure (LAN, WAN, DNS, firewalls, etc.).
  • Security Awareness : Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and tools to protect against evolving threats.
  • Certifications : Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified : Azure Solutions Architect, CompTIA Server+, or VMware Certified Professional are a plus.
  • Problem-Solving Skills : Strong analytical abilities to resolve technical issues efficiently and thoughtfully.
  • Communication Skills : Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
