About the Agency : The Mississippi Department of Transportation is responsible for providing a safe intermodal transportation network that is planned, designed, constructed, and maintained in an effective, cost efficient, and environmentally sensitive manner.

About the Position : Second-level vocational position accountable for providing technical support to construction projects, traffic control and safety, research and development, roadway design, right of ways, testing, transportation planning and bridges. Jobs at this level conduct testing procedures, plan and implement special traffic count studies and speed delay studies, collect roadway use and investment data, and assist in the running of survey parties.
