High School Diploma BLS certification required Current acute clinical care experience preferred Current experience in Surgery as a CSTFA Current experience in CVOR and vein harvesting CVOR requires open heart and cardiovascular experience Shift : 4-10 Hour Shifts OR 3-12 Hour Shifts (depending on department needs) CSTFA Certification required Cardiothoracic experience is okay as long as the candidate has done open heart cases On Call requirement is 1 day a week and 1 weekend per month

Certified Surgical First Assistant candidates for the Cardiovascular Operating Room will have the following job responsibilities :
- The Certified Surgical Technologist Surgical First Assistant (CSTFA) - CVOR provides aid in exposure, hemostasis, and other technical functions, including saphenous vein harvesting, that will help the surgeon carry out a safe operation with optimal results for the patient.
