job_description.job_card.job_description5+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of metal materials and manufacturing components Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor relationship skills Solid understanding of sourcing from both domestic and international supplier Proficient in Microsoft Excel (intermediate level) Coordinate with engineering, operations, and quality teams to align material needs Negotiate vendor contracts and maintain supply agreements Identify and vet new suppliers while maintaining relationships with existing partners Track and report on purchasing metrics, vendor performance, and cost-saving opportunities Develop strategies to improve lead times and reduce overall material costs Collaborate on process improvement initiatives around procurement Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field CPIM or CPM certifications Experience with Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) or consignment models
