Lab Technician (Entry Level)

Job Description

The primary role of a Lab Technician is to support laboratory operations by maintaining laboratory and supply storage areas, as well as equipment and instruments. The Lab Technician will utilize general lab methods, techniques, and equipment in compliance with quality assurance programs and standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve samples from Sample Control for analysis.
• Perform sample preparation tasks such as aliquoting samples, spiking and tracing samples, preparing reagents, bottling samples, and setting up liquid racks.
• Resolve discrepancies and anomalies to ensure proper sample labeling.
• Prepare general lab paperwork, including recording analysis results, tracking samples, and maintaining bench sheets and lab logbooks.
• Wash lab glassware to prepare for the next day's samples and stock lab supplies.

Work Environment

Work in a laboratory environment focused on product testing and quality assurance. The schedule generally falls during weekday afternoons and evenings, with flexibility for additional hours when needed. The shift is Monday to Friday, from 12 PM to 8 : 30 PM, with overtime as needed. The lab operates 7 days a week. Typical materials handled include items commonly found in consumer goods.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tucker, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $17.00 / hr.
