Pharmacist - Per Diem - Shift - Inpatient Pharmacy

Per Diem employees supplement department staffing needs, with no guarantee of minimum hours.
Per Diem Minimum Scheduling Requirement : 50 hours per bi-weekly pay period, with 10-hour shifts.
Position : Per Diem Pharmacist - Inpatient Pharmacy - Shift
Definition : Under general direction, compounds and dispenses drugs, medications and pharmaceuticals; provides a variety of pharmacy practice services in a hospital or public health setting.
Distinguishing Characteristics : This classification is the fully licensed level of professional pharmacy practice.

Employment Standards :
Knowledge of : Pharmaceutical mathematics, chemistry, materia medica, and pharmaceutical manufacturing methods; current laws and regulations governing the operation of a pharmacy; drug costs.
Ability to : Prepare a wide variety of drugs and medications; communicate and work cooperatively with health professionals and the public; properly direct and supervise the work of ancillary pharmacy personnel.
