Position Overview : MLR.org is excited to present an exceptional opportunity for a talented and dedicated Certified Surgical Technologist to join our esteemed client's elite medical team. In this crucial role, your expertise will be the cornerstone of every surgical procedure, ensuring precision, efficiency, and outstanding patient care. Job Responsibilities : Prepare the Operating Room : Set up sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies. Assist with Patient Prep : Position and drape patients safely. Support Surgeons : Pass instruments, hold retractors, and maintain a clear view of the surgical field. Ensure Sterility : Maintain sterile technique throughout the procedure. Handle Instruments : Organize and manage surgical tools, including counting instruments and sponges. Assist with Anesthesia : Prepare and handle medications and equipment as needed. Manage Specimens : Handle and label specimens for pathology. Clean Up : Disinfect the operating room and instruments post-procedure. Document : Record procedure details, including instrument counts. Maintain Equipment : Check and report on the condition of surgical equipment. Collaborate with Team : Work with surgeons, nurses, and other professionals. Follow Protocols : Adhere to infection control and hospital policies. Assist Postoperatively : Help transfer patients to recovery and support postoperative care. Continuous Learning : Stay updated on surgical techniques and best practices. Qualifications : Licensure : Colorado Surgical Technologist license or the ability to obtain it before your start date (required). Certification : Basic Life Support certification (required).
