Supervising Medical Billing Clerk

Job Type : Regular

Summary : Supervises billing clerks; monitors billing, follow-up procedures, and productivity within the billing unit; evaluates the accuracy of patient accounts.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience :

  • Associate's degree and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in medical billing and follow-up procedures or a related field; or
  • High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time experience in medical billing and follow-up procedures or related field.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in charge master maintenance
  • Knowledge of Federal and State billing regulations
  • Experience with Craneware charge master compliance tool
  • And a minimum of 2 years supervisor experience in a health care setting
