Network Engineer
MAG Aerospace is seeking a Network Engineer to support modernization efforts on-site at our lab facility in Augusta, GA. The Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining the information technology systems for our DoD customer. This is a short-term opportunity with an anticipated project completion date by August 2025, but a strong potential for follow-on work.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform the duties as the Network Engineer, supporting tasks as it relates to system testing, integration and configuration of multiple platforms
- Works with and tests equipment and software from multiple vendors
- Design diverse networking technology and protocols
- Implement and utilize VMware ESXI to manage virtual machines running a virtual environment
- Travel to Fielding Sites to provide on-site systems engineering support
- Create lab network architecture to support the interconnectivity of Labs
- Gather Activity Reports Senior System Engineer, to consolidate and send to the Principal Engineer
- Gather bugs during the testing of software deployment and input them into JIRA
- Support, test and evaluate new technologies and perform systems engineering work
- Coordinate and provide requirements to the Software Development Team
- Identify / evaluate any design changes and transition of equipment / software
- Produce and review hardware and software technical documentation
- Replicate and troubleshoot system or component problems

Minimum Requirements
In-depth hands-on experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis toolsIn-depth experience with routing protocolsIn-depth knowledge of Switching ArchitectureIn-depth experience and understanding of multiple network products and operating systemsIn-depth knowledge of Virtual EnvironmentsAbility to transition seamlessly between different Program of RecordsSolid understanding of Active Directory and TPKIAbility to test and configure new products with minimal to no instructions or supervisionREDCOM Data, voice, video, telephony integration experienceIn depth experience of Virtual EnvironmentsAbility to troubleshooting systems using the OSI Model as well as other IT industry accepted methodsAbility to work independently as well as with a teamOrganizational and mentoring skillsExperience with Systems / Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) or systems engineering lifecycleEducation
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant disciplineDoD IAT Level II certifiedClearance

Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,000 to $120,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
