Sterile Processing Tech Permanent Role

Location : Fort Worth TX 76104

Shift : 8-hr Night 11 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM

Guaranteed Hours : (40 hours / week)

Compensation : Based on experience

Essential Responsibilities :

  • Prepare and arrange instruments treatment trays and supplies according to department needs
  • Clean and disinfect medical instruments and equipment using approved methods and detergents
  • Operate sterilization equipment per manufacturer and facility guidelines
  • Manage inventory : order replenish and distribute instruments and reusable equipment
  • Maintain strict adherence to infection control safety protocols and environmental standards
  • Assist with training and mentoring of entry-level and Sterile Processing staff
  • Participate in and conduct in-service training for ongoing staff development

Key Success Factors :

  • Solid knowledge of instrument and equipment sterilization techniques
  • Understanding of basic medical terminology
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with precision and maintain safety and infection control standards
  • Team-oriented with a willingness to share expertise and support colleagues

    • Qualifications :

  • Education : High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Experience : Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience required
  • Certification (one of the following required) :

    • Certified Board for Sterile Processing & Distribution (CBSPD)

  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST)
  • Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT)
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
