Job Title : Information System Security Engineering Intern (Information System Security)

Job Description :

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Cybersecurity Engineering Intern. This role offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Cybersecurity Engineering with a focus on the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) Process. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience with the RMF process used throughout the DoD. Key Responsibilities :

  • Support Cybersecurity Requirements : Collaborate with ISSEs to identify protection needs for systems software and networks. Document security controls / requirements for inclusion in the system requirements specifications.
  • Support Cybersecurity Design : Assist system engineers in overarching system design with a focus on cybersecurity.
  • Support Creation of Cybersecurity Body of Evidence : Create and review System Security Plans (SSPs) System / Security Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Network and Dataflow Drawings.
  • Support Cybersecurity Verification / Test : Verify security control implementation through development and execution of Cybersecurity Test Plans / Procedures and use of System Scanning Tools.

Qualifications :

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelors degree program in a related field (e.g. Engineering Computer Science or a related discipline).

    • Preferred Skills :

  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
