Resource Planning Specialist (Construction / Field Operations)

Summary
Partner with senior leadership, project leaders, and HR to plan, allocate, and adjust manpower across active and upcoming projects. Turn project pipeline and schedules into clear staffing actions and 30 / 60 / 90-day hiring forecasts to share with HR and Recruiting teams.

Responsibilities
- Lead the weekly manpower review with senior leadership, PMs, and field leadership
- Own a real-time manpower board across projects, shifts, and locations
- Match start dates and mobilizations to project schedules and site access needs
- Spot gaps early and recommend redeployments, overtime, or backfills
- Coordinate internal transfers and bench assignments to limit downtime
- Track skills, certifications, clearances, and site badging in a current skills matrix
- Deliver 30 / 60 / 90-day hiring forecasts to Recruiting based on awarded work, bids, and change orders
- Build simple best / likely / worst-case staffing scenarios
- Publish weekly reports on coverage, bench size, utilization, and near-term needs
- Keep data accurate in staffing trackers and project tools
- Document and improve SOPs for staffing workflows and handoffs
Qualifications
3+ years in workforce planning, resource coordination in the industrial construction fieldStrong spreadsheet skills : lookups, pivots, filters, data checksClear communication with field leaders and executivesSteady under pressure and able to reset priorities as projects shiftExperience in project-based work in construction or technical tradesHigh attention to detail and care for confidential informationPreferred
Background in industrial or electrical construction, BMS / EPMS, or PLC environmentsFamiliarity with project platforms such as Procore, CMiC, MS Project, or Oracle P6Experience partnering with Recruiting or Talent AcquisitionComfort with ATS / HRIS reporting and basic labor budgetingBenefits
