Job Title : Database Administrator

Location-Type : Hybrid (Philadelphia, PA – 1 day / week onsite) (Usually on Wednesdays)

Start Date : ASAP

Duration : Permanent

Compensation Range : $110-130 / year 10% bonus potential

Job Description :

Support and modernize SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments for a hybrid cloud data infrastructure in a regulated financial organization.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities :

Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases

Optimize performance and support high availability and DR strategies

Automate tasks using Python, T-SQL, PowerShell, or Bash

Ensure database security, compliance, and documentation

Collaborate on data modernization and Snowflake implementation initiatives

Participate in rotating on-call support (every 2 months)

Requirements : Must-Haves :

5–7 years as a DBA with SQL Server and PostgreSQL

Strong performance tuning, HA / DR (Always On, clustering), and backup / recovery experience

Advanced PostgreSQL tuning and replication skills

Experience with Snowflake and hybrid / cloud data platforms

Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, Bash, or T-SQL scripting

Familiarity with monitoring tools and root cause analysis

Nice-to-Haves :

Experience with Red Hat Linux for PostgreSQL

Financial services or other regulated industry background

Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field
