Position Overview : The Director, Regulatory & Technical Affairs, is responsible for executing against regulatory strategy on issues impacting the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry, with a focus on nutrition policy and food safety. The Director will manage complex workflows, frame narrative, and serve as a trusted communicator and expert, both internally and externally with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), on food and beverage issues. Reporting to the Vice President, Regulatory & Technical Affairs, the role will manage the execution of and proactively shape and influence emerging regulatory policy issues, concerns, and opportunities that help to advance the CPG industrys agenda while meeting the expectations of the American consumer.

Regulatory Policy

• Work collaboratively to monitor the regulatory landscape on food and beverage issues, both with members of the organization and U.S. regulatory agencies.
• Proactively identify regulatory affairs issues and opportunities for the CPG industry.
• Proactively cultivate, establish and maintain relationships with members, specific U.S. regulatory agencies, the research community, trade associations, and NGOs.
• Represent Consumer Brands in regulatory meetings and industry events.
