About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of Sales to play a pivotal role in the strategic growth of the organization. The successful candidate will be tasked with developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy to meet and exceed revenue targets, with a focus on the eye care market. This hands-on leadership position involves defining the sales process, culture, and metrics, as well as recruiting, training, and leading a high-performing sales team. The VP of Sales will also be responsible for driving key deals, managing relationships with industry leaders, and collaborating with the marketing and product teams to ensure alignment and provide market feedback.
Candidates for the VP of Sales role at the company should have a minimum of 8 years of sales experience, with at least 4 years in a sales leadership position, preferably in a B2B SaaS environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, experience in building and scaling sales teams, and deep expertise in sales playbook development, compensation plans, and forecasting models. Excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, and a self-motivated, proactive approach to managing multiple priorities are essential. Bonus points will be awarded for experience in vertical SaaS, EHR, practice management, or other HealthTech software, as well as a background in startup or client service environments.
