Role Summary

As a Sr. Autonomy Software Engineer focusing on Tooling, you'll lead the development of our core automation infrastructure to accelerate the testing and validation of our autonomy and ADAS features. You'll take ownership of building a robust CI / CD pipeline for our internal data acquisition and analysis repositories, while also collaborating with the team to develop and maintain crucial data analysis and utility scripts. The ideal candidate has a passion for building scalable solutions, automating complex workflows, and enabling a small team to move faster and with more confidence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and maintenance of an automated testing framework for Autonomy / ADAS data acquisition, processing, and analysis repositories.
• Collaborate on automated testing test case development and execution.
• Manage and optimize CI / CD pipelines to ensure secure, high-velocity deployment of validation tooling and maintain infrastructure stability and reproducibility across cloud environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to build reliable, scalable, and distributed infrastructure using microservice architecture.
• Drive process improvements for software development and validation tooling.

Pay Disclosure

Salary Range / Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants : $146,900.00 - $183,600.00 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Benefits Summary : Rivian provides robust medical / Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
