The Surgical Tech works under the supervision of the surgeon and RN. Assists surgical team during operative procedures by arranging and inventorying sterile set-up of instruments, equipment and supplies for surgical cases and passing items to surgeons and nurses as needed. Assists in preparing and moving patients and sterilizing and cleaning instruments, equipment and rooms. Coordinates functions and activities for all surgical specialties; maintains appropriate supplies, instruments, vendor needs, and physician preferences. Covers specialty service in absence of RN specialty leader. Assists in orienting new hires and training staff for the surgical specialties, procedures, equipment, new technology and changes in clinical practice. Participates in strategic planning and related implementation activities.

Day to Day duties : WIll Cover all services except Ortho Spine.Â

8 OR Suites +1 Cysto Room+1minor procedure room

Approx. 400-450+ cases per month

Schedule-40hrs / week- Days-5 x8hrs possibly 4 X10hrs- to be discussed during intevriewsÂ

Qualifications :

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following :

Physical Requirements-Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and / or up to 20lbs frequently, and / or up to 10lbs constantly)

Built on the pillars of convenience, wellness and person-centered care, we offer inpatient and outpatient care at one site, with an emphasis on preventive health, wellness and health education.

The surgery department at St. Anthony North Health Campus Hospital consists of 8 OR rooms, 1 cysto room, 1 minor procedure room, a GI room, and a room for pain management. We are an ortho heavy department - fracture management, total hips, knees, and shoulders, and the ortho service continues to grow. We also perform general, ENT, GYN, urology, spine and plastics. The patient mix is comprised mainly of adult surgical patients. Patient care is provided for adult, geriatric, adolescent, and pediatric patients. Our mission is to provide safe care to the surgical patient.
