POSITION TITLE : HOUSING RESOURCE COORDINATOR

Reports to : Housing Project Manager

Salary : $55,000-$65,000 / annually

CLC is seeking a Housing Resource Coordinator. The Housing Resource Coordinator will have a critical role working collaboratively with members of CLC's internal housing teams, external partners-community organizations, and transition age youth (TAY) clients, particularly those youth who are young adults in foster care (known as Non-Minor Dependents "NMD"). The Housing Resource Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the team has current, accurate, and comprehensive information to all available housing options for our clients throughout Los Angeles and surrounding counties.

The Housing Resource Coordinator will maintain a robust database of housing providers and conduct searches to secure safe and stable housing for clients in need. The Housing Resource Coordinator will also work closely with the housing team supervisor to identify and build relationships with community partners, including landlords and developers, to expand the universe of housing options for CLC clients.

• Establish, update, and maintain comprehensive list of available housing opportunities in Los Angeles and surrounding Counties.
• Conduct community outreach to connect and build relationships with landlords and other housing providers to continually increase the portfolio of housing options for youth including creating, building and maintaining relationships that create direct referral opportunities for clients to community housing partners.
• Identify potential barriers for clients related to securing housing; problem-solving with team members to secure alternative housing options.
• Conduct field work including site visits to potential housing resource locations including transitional and permanent housing providers and emergency shelters to assess safety, suitability and accessibility to available options.
• Collaborate with the housing teams and other CLC staff to ensure streamlined referral process as well as housing connection process.
• Support the team by gathering case details and communicating with clients in a compassionate and respectful manner including maintaining a small caseload of clients to support the work of the Housing Case Manager.
• Maintain, compile, track, and regularly update data and information related to clients and / or community resources.
• Perform other tasks to support the team and the project as requested by the Firm Director or Housing Program Supervisor.
• Continuous learning : staying informed and adapting evolving social dynamics to better engage and support clients from all backgrounds.
