Account Executive, Pro Deals
The big picture : Axios is a media company dedicated to providing trustworthy, award-winning content in an audience-first format. We are looking for a creative and collaborative sales professional to help lead new business growth for Axios Pro Deals.
Why it matters : The Account Executive / Client Partner will be responsible for leading the full-cycle sales process for our Pro Deals intelligence solution for the M&A, VC, and Private Equity deal-making marketplace.
Go deeper : Ideal candidates will be highly organized, relationship-focused, and entrepreneurial. Responsibilities will include :
- Identify, prospect, and acquire new clients within the deal-making landscape. This includes prospects within the Private Equity and Venture Capital space as well as Corporate, M&A Advisors, Legal and Consultancy professionals.
- Develop and execute targeted sales strategies to meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets
- Partner with a Business Development Associate to identify prospective partners and develop outbound sales tactics to engage them
- Prepare for and conduct sales meetings with relevant industry targets, ensuring alignment of value, budget, and decision-making process
- Manage the evaluation process for new business opportunities, including pricing negotiation and contract execution
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new contacts by participating in industry events, Axios Pro events, and in-person meetings
- Collaborate with Revenue and Editorial team leadership to influence our go-to-market strategy and product roadmap based on marketplace feedback
- Log all account notes and maintain an accurate view of open pipeline

3+ years of experience selling B2B products to potential clients in the financial services spaceProven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growthCustomer-centric mindset with strong commercial instinctsHigh proficiency in relationship building and relationship managementExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHighly organized and detail-orientedAbility to be adaptable and creative as the Axios Pro product and team growsFamiliarity with CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and other client management tools.Located near NYC is preferableStarting salary for this role is in the range of $90,000 - $110,000 and is dependent on numerous factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, and skills. This range does not include other compensation and benefits.
