Position Responsibilities of the Project Coordinator :
Assist project managers in documenting and logging change orders, submittals, requests for information (RFIs), and other project documentation as necessaryAttend meetings and assist with project coordination activities as directed by Operations Manager and Project ManagersWork with supervisors, trade contractors, and suppliers to assist the operations team : manage schedules, project progress, shop drawing requirements, and material deliveries to ensure attainment of project objectives, schedule completion, and timely deliveriesReview and interpret blueprints / shop drawings and other project documents to assist in change management, electrical scope take-off and reviewMaintain knowledge of building construction means and methodsApply electrical code to project scope as appropriatePlan and organize tasks in order to meet project deadlinesAccurately documents project / work situations, both written and verbally, accurately and timely to ensure the Company a means of protection through proper documentationUnderstands and follows the NEC, state, and local codesUnderstand and apply construction means and methods appropriate to construction scope during the course of change management change order scope development and pricingPerform acceptable work practices that can be emulated by fellow employeesUtilize company computerized estimating programs for change ordersProfessional written communication, documentation, and work tracking practicesUpdate job skills by participating in training sponsored by the companyPerform additional duties as assignedQualifications of the Project Coordinator :
High school diploma or GEDUnderstanding of how to read all phases of a construction drawingUnderstanding of NEC, State and Local codesHave good attention to detailAbility to multitaskProficient in Microsoft office (including excel) and BluebeamPhysical Requirements
Must be able to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting and liftingMust be able to speak English and hear to communicateMust be able to use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull : objects, materials, controls and toolsMust be able to pick up, lift, carry and move up to 50 lbs.Must be able to work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and occasionally work off of platforms / scaffolding (using the appropriate fall protection requirements)Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPEMust be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to : hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, masks / respirators, hi-vis safety vests, gloves and safety toe, construction-grade work bootsBenefits and Compensation
