Cytology, Bench Technologist, Day Shift

Client Overview :

Our client is currently seeking a cytotechnologist for their busy, full-service laboratory in the heart of Silicon Valley. This is a day shift role.

Salary Range : $100,000-135,000

Job Summary :

Analyze fluid and tissue specimens for microscopic cellular abnormalities. Work closely with pathologists and independently.

Skill Requirements :

• Calibrate, operate, troubleshoot and maintain the equipment
• Dexterity and good hand-eye coordination are required to collect and prepare specimens
• Critical thinking skills to recognize problems and develop solutions or alternative approaches
• Lab safety and infection prevention is of paramount importance
• Handle pressure responsibility, often performing highly detailed microscopic work for long periods of time
