The Senior Data Platform Engineer will be responsible for the administration of AWS, Talend, Snowflake and keeping out data environment how to keep environment healthy and within the expectations of the data organization.

Responsibilities :

  • Collaborate closely with business partners to align data engineering efforts with their specific needs and objectives, ensuring that data solutions contribute effectively to the organization's overall goals.
  • Assist in the implementation of data platform services and applications to insure reliability, scalability and security.
  • Implement proactive monitoring and alerting systems for applications, ensuring real-time visibility into their performance and availability.
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize the data platform applications for performance and resource efficiency.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines using tools such as Snowflake, Talend, AWS Glue, and Lambda.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Design and implement data modeling, ETL processes, and data governance practices to ensure data quality and availability.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and application performance issues, resolving them promptly.
  • Implement DevOps practices and tools for efficient application deployment and infrastructure management.
  • Document data engineering and application operations processes, ensuring knowledge sharing and compliance.
  • Stay current with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in data engineering and application operations.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with expertise in data engineering principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and data warehousing technologies like Snowflake.
  • Experience with data integration tools such as Snowflake, Talend and data governance practices.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms, particularly AWS, and their role in data engineering and application operations.
  • Experience with programming skills in languages like Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Experience with DevOps practices, CI / CD pipelines.
  • Experience with application operations, including deployment, monitoring, and scaling.
  • Certification in data engineering or related AWS certifications.
  • Knowledge of data orchestration and workflow management tools (e.g., Apache Airflow).
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and container orchestration platforms.
  • Experience with data streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka).
  • Knowledge of data governance and compliance best practices.
  • Ability to mentor junior team members and lead data engineering projects.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate closely with data scientists to deploy and operationalize machine learning models.
