A day in the life :
Act as the primary business manager for our client on construction projectsPrimary responsibility for the redemption of equipment, material, and subcontractor estimatesResponsible for submittal, operations and maintenance, and closeout processNegotiate pricing of all change ordersDevelop the initial schedule for our client's work on the projectResponsible for submission of RFIs and review of responses to determine scope impactProvide project information to the Construction Manager for the job Superintendent, Fabrication Division, and Start-up SupervisorPlan and coordinate with the Construction Manager on project requirements as they relate to scheduling, sequence, production, and qualityYou should have :
Hands-on project management experience of commercial construction projects in excess of $3M (single project) or 3 to 6 simultaneous electrical portions of equal valueDemonstrated responsibility for projects lasting a year or moreBachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferably electrical), Building Construction, or Construction Engineering Management, or equivalent years of experienceStrong analysis, problem-solving, and critical thinking skillsDemonstrated skills, experience, and proficiency with technology, including knowledge and experience using Microsoft Excel and project management softwareAcumen for business, including knowledge and interest in business and management principles involved in strategic planning, accounting, cost forecasting, resource allocation, and coordination of people and resourcesAbility to deal diplomatically with internal and external customers at various levels within an organization—i.e., owners, GCs, subcontractors, engineers, superintendents, draftsmen, etc.EOE M / W / Disability / Vets
