Responsibilities
Present trial concepts, objectives and treatment details to potential patients for various cellular therapy trials, while conducting detailed assessment and screening to determine their eligibility.Participating in the informed consent process and enrolling patients on protocolApproximately 80% of the role will be computer based, with responsibilities including documentation and data management. However, the position also involves direct patient care for oncology patients participating in clinical trials.Collects and maintains regulatory documents in accordance with USOR SOP and applicable regulations. Participates in scheduling monitoring and auditing visits, as well as interacting with the monitors / auditors while onsite.Coordinating patient care in compliance with protocol requirementsCollaborating with the physician to review patients for changes in condition, adverse events, concomitant medication use, protocol compliance, response to drug study and thoroughly documenting all findingsWorking directly with multiple research sponsorsOverseeing the preparation of orders by physicians to assure that protocol compliance is maintainedCommunicating with physicians regarding study requirements, need for dose modification and adverse event reportingQualifications
Associates degree in a clinical or scientific related discipline requiredExperience in clinical research preferredExperience in oncology preferredExperience with computer data entry and database managementExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures such as protocols, informed consent, and regulatory documentsAdditional Qualifications for Nurse Candidates :
Graduate from an accredited program for nursing education (BSN preferred) preferredMinimum of one (1) year nursing experience preferably in oncologyCurrent licensure as an RN in Virginia preferredCurrent BCLS or ACLS certification requiredOCN, SoCRA, or ACRP certification preferredWORK ENVIRONMENT :
