About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Dental Officer (CDO) to serve as the clinical, administrative, and visionary leader of its dental practice. The CDO will be responsible for the strategic development and expansion of dental services, ensuring alignment with organizational strategies, and leading the oral health component of a patient-centered medical home. This executive-level role requires a visionary leader with experience in directing a multi-site dental practice, and the successful candidate will be a key member of the senior leadership team, with a focus on population health management, integration of healthcare services, and patient engagement. Applicants for the CDO position at the company must have a DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school, with an MPH or MBA being a plus. A completed GPR or AEG is also required. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in clinical dentistry, expert clinical dentistry skills, and a demonstrated commitment to caring for a diverse patient population. The role involves recruiting, engaging, and retaining a committed staff of dental providers and support staff, as well as collaborating with centralized finance and administrative departments. The CDO will also be involved in research, education, and training activities, and must be adept at providing clinical mentoring and support to staff in complex cases. Active State of Connecticut Dental license, NERB or Regional Dental Boards, and DEA (Federal and State) Active Licensure are mandatory.
