Job Summary

If you are an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist with a passion for adult respiratory care, we invite you to consider joining our team. This role involves performing essential respiratory therapies based on physician orders and departmental protocols. You will work independently in various acute and critical care environments, consulting with physicians and other healthcare personnel to provide optimal patient care to individuals across all age groups, from infants to seniors.

Accountabilities

Supervisory / Management Responsibility

This position does not have management responsibilities and reports to a supervisor or director.

Minimum Requirements

You must be a graduate of a Respiratory Therapy program accredited by a recognized authority or be eligible for licensure in South Carolina. Recent graduates are welcome to apply.

Required Certifications / Registrations / Licenses

Licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in South Carolina is required, or eligibility for licensure. BLS certification is mandatory, and NBRC credentials must be maintained. Teams hired prior to June 2016 may be Certified Respiratory Therapists, while later hires must pass specific examinations to maintain employment. NRP and PALS certification is required to work independently in specialized units.

Other Required Skills and Experience

Strong teamwork, communication, computer, and organizational skills are essential.
