Field Construction Safety Manager

Location :  Cleveland, OH

Duration :  4+ Months (Start : 11 / 24)

Type : 1099 Contractor

Job Details

  • Hourly Rate : $56 / hr (Local) $49 / HR (non-Local)
  • Per Diem : $135 / day (7 days per week) if over 50 miles from project location
  • Completion Bonus : $150 / month
  • Pay : Weekly

Schedule :  50+ hours / week, 5 10's, some Saturdays

Project Scope

The Field Safety Manager will oversee electrical contractors working on upgrading the steel plant

Qualifications

Candidates must have the following requirements :

  • OSHA 510 or higher (BCSP preferred)
  • Must have 5+ years of safety experience
  • Electrical experience is mandatory
  • Must have experience with LOTO
  • Must understand the energy wheel.

    • Additional Details :

    FR outerwear is required

    Metatarsal boots required

    Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations
  • Perform daily audits for compliance and report to the site Foreman with any deficiencies
  • Assist with collecting and submitting daily paperwork to the client
  • Perform orientations and assist with ISNetworld training and badging requirements
  • Bump test and calibrate CO monitors
  • Assist with LOTO
  • Provide safety training as needed
  • Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety protocols
  • Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence
  • Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required

    • Skills & Knowledge

    Skills :

  • Excellent public speaking and communication abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • OSHA outreach training experience (preferred)
  • Professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information

    • Knowledge :

  • Strong understanding of EHS and industry regulatory standards in construction
  • Ability to effectively communicate safety principles and regulations
