USPI HILL COUNTRY AMBULATORY SURGERY CENTER is a BRAND NEW, STATE-OF-THE-ART surgery center in Cedar Park, TX. This facility is a part of the United Surgical Partners International (USPI) portfolio with strong ties to Cedar Park Regional Medical Center. It is a 3 procedure room, 1 OR facility that focuses on GI procedures. The facility has recently been re-accredited by Joint Commission. Open Monday - Friday for outpatient services only (with no call!), this facility is looking for a Full Time GI Processing Tech. JOB SUMMARY
The GI Tech assist's endoscope team by aiding physician(s) and other medical staff as necessary. Prepares procedure room by ensuring equipment and supplies are operational and readily available. Assist with procedure room turn-over & set up as well as end of day clean and set up. Other duties include but is not limited to collection of biopsies & specimens, care, cleaning and processing of surgical instrumentation. May also be responsible for initial intake, transport and paperwork to Intra-op. Position will support material manager by tracking & reporting inventory as well as equipment needs.

Required Skills
SKILLS :
Critical and tactical skills as it relates to anticipating physician needs
General understanding of anatomy
Applied comprehension of GI equipment to include function and handling
Understands basic infection control principles, patient care, risk management and patient safety
USPI complies with federal, state, and / or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce. If you are offered this position and must be vaccinated under any applicable law, you will be required to show proof of full vaccination or obtain an approval of a religious or medical exemption prior to your start date. If you receive an exemption from the vaccination requirement, you will be required to submit to regular testing in accordance with the law.
Required Experience
High school graduate or equivalent (required)
Medical or nursing assistance certification (preferred)
Endoscopy / GI scope or surgical technician certification (preferred)
2 to 5 years of experience in GI or hospital surgical setting (required)
BLS certification (required)
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work as a team player
Must be conscientious, self-motivated, organized and possess the ability to multi-task.
