About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP, Global Head of Business Development and Alliance Management with a strong background in oncology and a proven track record in BD&L activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team to identify, source, and negotiate a full spectrum of BD&L activities, including in- and out-licensing, acquisitions, and various industry partnerships. This role requires the ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, academic institutions, and industry partners, as well as the infrastructure for BD&L and Alliance Management. The ideal candidate will have at least 12 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, with a focus on oncology, and possess advanced scientific education. Experience in alliance management, global operations, and a background in strategy consulting, VC / PE, investment banking, or corporate development is highly valued. The role is with a well-financed, stable, and profitable commercial-stage pharma company with a strong market presence and a positive work environment. The company is in an active phase of building its pipeline and is looking for an entrepreneurial and experienced professional who is passionate about oncology and values close collaboration in a low-bureaucracy, hands-on setting. The VP will be expected to have a high level of emotional intelligence, a commitment to collaboration, and the courage to advocate for innovative ideas. The position is hybrid, with minimal on-site requirements, and the company is open to candidates from the Eastern Time Zone with a preference for those in states within reasonable travel distance.
