Job Summary :
The ICA Mail Room provides mail service to several building tenants and other state agencies. It processes approximately 25000 pieces of inbound / outbound mail (US Mail & FedEx Mail) a month for the ICA tenants and state agencies. This position will sort inbound mail, prepare tracking sheets for signature mail as needed, participate in security screening of mail when needed, load vehicle and deliver and collect mail on an assigned several mail routes daily, prepare outbound mail on a folder / inserter on a needed basis, process outbound mail through postage meter or shipping software and prepare for various postage and package delivery vendor pickups. This position will operate various printers for the printing jobs for folding & inserting, print electronic certified postage and the print letters for claimants. It will operate a large document scanner for purpose of scanning inbound mail & document archival. It will also interact with ICA mail room customers directly or over the phone for general mail room questions.

Job Duties :
Responsible for prioritizing workload of the immediate mail unit, sort incoming mail for distribution and dispatches outgoing mail. Responsible for computing basic mathematical calculations in operating and maintaining postal machines. Responsible for monitoring basic office / personal record keeping.

Knowledge sufficient to oversee and participate in the collection, sorting, preparation and delivery of mail.
Knowledge of Postal Regulations, correct meters, registering and certifying of mail.
Knowledge of mail services sufficient to determine the most cost effective method.
Knowledge sufficient to assume responsibility for correct metering, registering and certifying of ledge sufficient to oversee and participate in maintaining routine office records and reports.

Selective Preference(s) :
A minimum of one year experience working in a mailroom and or post office is preferred.

This position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job. The following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate Arizona driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) ).
