Computer Systems Hardware Engineer
Join our team as a Computer Systems Hardware Engineer in the Compute Integrated Product Team (IPT) for the Deep Space Advanced Radar Capability (DARC) Site 2 program. You will play a crucial role in designing and establishing high-performance computer environments necessary for DS2. This position involves working with various functional disciplines to create, document, and implement a computer system architecture baseline that meets operational requirements.
Responsibilities :
- Collaboratively define and document the computer system and support infrastructure design.
- Develop engineering drawings and associated bill of materials.
- Manage and control the hardware engineering baseline, including handling change requests and document as-built conditions.
- Determine hardware component system specifications and infrastructure requirements, such as power, heating, and cooling.
- Develop integration plans and schedules.
- Support procurement activities and collaborate with the global supply chain.
- Integrate and check out hardware components.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve program support deficiencies.
- Develop and recommend corrective actions.
Essential Skills :
Active DoD Secret clearance.5 years of experience with a Bachelor's in Science, 3 years with a Master's in Science, or 1 year with a PhD.Experience with requirements decomposition and derivation down to hardware subsystem and component level specifications.Familiarity with engineering drawings and baseline management processes.Experience with procurement processes.Knowledge of cable management and various cable types typical for IT environments such as Ethernet, Power, and Fiber.Ability to optimize hardware component placement considering airflow, cable management, tip hazards, and density.Experience in integrating commercial hardware system components, including servers, switches, routers, and network-attached storage.Proficiency with Atlassian tool sets like JIRA and Confluence.Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering principles.Ability to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally for up to 3 consecutive months during the deployment phase.Additional Skills & Qualifications :
Experience with Teamcenter or similar Product Lifecycle Management Systems.Ability to perform heating and cooling analysis for large IT environments.Ability to calculate total power demands and loads on power distribution circuits.Familiarity with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers.Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering tools like CAMEO.Work Environment :

Pay and Benefits :
The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $145000.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
