Description
The Production Manager II is responsible for managing staffing, budgeting, and the execution of strategies for the DreamWorks Coating Solutions operations. This position is responsible for directing, controlling, and coordinating all aspects of the Coater Production to maximize the long-term and short-term profitability of the company while maintaining or exceeding performance standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides management and leadership to the DreamWorks Coating Solutions business unit by establishing and maintaining standards in safety, continuous improvement, environmental compliance, and cost control. Effectively manages company resources to maximize achievement of departmental goals in all areas (financial, customer service, innovation, and learning).
- Assists in the identification and development of leaders within the organization. Actively work to develop teams for enhancing their effectiveness in daily operations as well as to prepare them for future opportunities within the organization.
- Collaborates with peers (Technical, Maintenance, Engineering, Customer Service, Warehouse, etc.) to ensure the optimum allocation of resources within the mill.
- Drives LPI Culture initiatives maintaining a strong focus on accountability, productivity, quality, housekeeping, etc. throughout the Coater Production operation. Promotes engagement and involvement in activities such as Safety & Environmental meetings, Community Involvement meetings, Home Station Group meetings, special projects, or assignments, as well as the skills training activities of team members.
- Administers company policies and procedures fairly and equitably to maintain standards established for safety, quality, and overall company personnel engagement. Shares information that would benefit other members of the team and find ways to improve the delivery of service to our customers.
- Responsible for budgeting, department maintenance, and safety compliance for DCS operations.
- Strives to continually strengthen LPI’s business philosophy of meeting needs and exceeding expectations for customers specifically supporting LPI’s Commitment to Service, which involves doing what’s right for our customers, focusing on strategies that add value and support growth, and keeping the promises that we make.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

The starting base salary range for this position is $101,640 - $126,825 per year plus eligibility in annual bonus program. The compensation posted is the anticipated pay for the position at the time of the posting. We may pay above or below posted amount based on several factors, including, but not limited to education and / or certifications, skills, experience, or work location. Some positions may qualify for additional compensation in the form of bonuses or deferred compensation options.
