Job Description
Summary / objective
The Budget Analyst supports the financial planning and operational decision-making of Southern University at New Orleans by performing analytical, technical, and professional work in budget preparation, monitoring, and reporting, in accordance with provisions of the State of Louisiana Division of Administration - Office of Planning and Budget. This position plays a critical role in ensuring fiscal responsibility, transparency, and alignment of institutional resources with strategic priorities.
The Budget Analyst compiles, analyzes, and interprets financial data to assist in preparing and maintaining the University's annual operating and capital budgets. The incumbent assists departments with budget submissions, monitors expenditures, and prepares reports that inform leadership decision-making.
