Description

You will be an individual contributor responsible for implementing designs into scalable, high-quality observable pipelines and services. Your role involves understanding data deeply to answer critical business questions and inform product design. You will ensure the quality, scalability, and performance of the systems you build. You will adopt new technologies as needed and collaborate with program teams to plan and execute sprint goals. You will join a collaborative team that values humility, integrity, and mutual growth.

Minimum Qualifications

• 10+ years of programming experience in Scala (preferred) or Java
• Proven experience designing scalable, highly available distributed systems using Kafka, Iceberg, Kubernetes, Apache Spark, Flink, Airflow, Cassandra, or similar technologies
• Strong quantitative and SQL skills
• Understanding of functional programming principles
• Self-motivated with the ability to create architecture and design documents
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles, algorithms, and data structures
• Ability to translate multi-functional requirements into engineering tasks
• Excellent communication skills and experience working in multi-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

At Apple, base pay ranges from $171,600 to $302,200, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
