Hillcrest Plastic Surgery & Dermatology is seeking an experienced part-time Plastic Surgery CirculatingRN to join our team to cross cover the senior RN, overseeing various critical aspects of our practice. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILIIES : (

- Provide circulator support during surgery cases and manage patient recovery during general anesthesia procedures.
- Assist and oversee the setup of surgical cases, instrumentation, and patient discharge, ensuring optimal patient care.
- Triage patient calls, update patient communication records, and follow up on medical clearances, tests, and orders.
- Become knowledgeable in Laser Safety Standards & gain familiarity with AAAASF rules & regulations & OSHA Safety Standards.
- Prepare and fax orders to hospitals, and coordinate follow-up on mammograms, x-rays, and lab results.
- Assist with in-office procedures, ensuring consents are signed, instruments sterilized, and procedure rooms properly set up.
- Conduct patient outreach before and after surgery, providing guidance and monitoring progress.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Circulate on surgery cases, record start / end times, and ensure adherence to AAAASF standards and surgical logs.Perform recovery room activities, including patient admission, vital sign monitoring, and postoperative assessments.Collaborate with the surgical team and communicate patient condition changes to the surgeon.Maintain logs for various equipment, emergency protocols, and clinical supplies to ensure readiness and compliance.Perform clinic functions, assisting the physicians on consultations, preoperative appointments, skincare treatments, and postoperative care.Manage lab specimens, prepare paperwork, follow up on results, and communicate biopsy findings to patients and doctors.Participate in maintaining a clean and safe environment, performing regular inspections, and coordinating cleaning services.Assist and cross-cover the Clinical Risk Manager's responsibilities after training, including peer reviews, emergency drills, and equipment maintenance.Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS :
Current clear and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a surgical setting. Plastic surgery preferred but not required.Minimum of 2 years Circulator experience within the last 5 years.BLS and ACLS certification.Strong understanding of AAAASF, OSHA, and safety regulations.Proficiency in surgical procedure support, patient recovery, and medical documentation.Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining accurate records and logs.Proven ability to handle high-pressure situations and emergency protocols.Willingness to learn and adapt to new responsibilities, including cross-covering clinical risk management tasks.Compassionate, patient and a welcoming personality.
