Description :

SUMMARY : Assist program manager in providing clinical and program oversight for a team of SUDP / Ts and BHTs in a residential treatment setting.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Under direction of the Program Manager, help coordinate and provide intake, assessment, medication management, and milieu services.
  • Serve as the program supervisor during program manager vacations.
  • Collaborate closely with LMHC staff to provide individual and group treatment services and develop individual service plans and discharge plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records of all services as determined by WA state WAC and as outlined in STARS organizational policies and procedures.
  • Work to uphold organizational values and beliefs, using evidence-based, person-centered practices when delivering services to program participants.
  • Modeling professional and respectful relationships with staff and clients.
  • Facilitate and maintain productive communication with community agencies.
  • Adhere to strict boundaries and professional ethics.
  • Provide crisis and de-escalation intervention using cognitive and behavioral intervention strategies.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Indirectly supervises up to 20 employees within the Karen’s House department.
  • QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Qualified as a Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) and licensed through the Washington State Department of Health with license in good standing.
  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and / or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years of experience in a lead or supervisory position.
  • Computer skills required : Microsoft Office Suite; Electronic health records software
  • Other skills required :
  • o Solid understanding of American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) criteria and decision-making rules.

    o Understand and implement Washington Administrative Codes (WAC).

    o Understand and adhere to state and federal confidentiality regulations, including confidentiality on alcohol and drug abuse patient records, 42 CFR Part 2 and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996, 45 CFR parts 160 and 164.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 40 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include : close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
