JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Design and plan in accordance with applicable design specifications. Projects may include various bridge types such as steel plate girder, prestressed concrete girder and reinforced concrete slab structures.
- Conduct structural analysis to ensure the strength and safety of highway structures
- Prepare structural designs and contract documents including drawings, specifications, and estimates
- Participate in preparing project budgets and schedules
- Perform calculations for designing bridges and transportation structures using AutoCAD and / or specialized bridge design software
