Data Systems Analyst

Responsibilities

Shamrock Trading Corporation is looking for a Data Systems Analyst to join the Data Services team. The primary objective of this role is to support and extend Shamrock technology solutions related Data source integrations and pipeline projects. This role will be collaborate extensively with both our Shamrock business unit leadership as well as the Shamrock Technology team. The role will create / contribute to business case development, requirements articulation, project / program planning, produce test plans and ultimately help deliver technology solutions that support the growth of Shamrock.

• Monitor project progress by tracking activity, coordinating problem resolution, publish progress reports, and recommending actions.
• Define project requirements by identifying project timelines, phases and elements, determining scope, and establishing project expenses.
• Differentiate user requests from the underlying true needs and distinguish solution ideas from requirements.
• Work with business owners to convert high-level business and user requirements into functional requirements and prioritize requirements.
• Manage changes to baseline requirements through effective application of change control processes and tools and manage system enhancement requests.
• Implement appropriate mitigation strategies that may involve compromises with respect to scope and schedule.
• Prepares technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Create workaround procedures when standard procedures have failed and ensure issues are resolved in a timely fashion.
• Develop Jira stories sub-tasks and define acceptance criteria.
• Create and use entity relationship diagrams and process flow diagrams.
• Work closely with data architecture, lead data engineer, and principal data engineer to develop and document project technical requirements and architectural processes.
• Write project requirements documents.
• Work closely with enterprise project management teams, Data Services, and Data / ML engineers on a daily basis.
