Automotive Technology Adjunct Instructor - Pool.

Academic Year : 2024-2025

Nature of Duties :

Under general supervision, prepares lesson plans for classroom instruction for credited technical / occupational courses; prepares standardized course syllabi using a provided template; assesses students’ satisfactory progress based on established course grading requirements. May be required to attend professional development training as required for specific classroom or online course delivery. Teaches Automotive courses in a classroom / lab / field environment that closely simulates the industry environment while maintaining knowledge of current trends and developments in the field. Provides instruction in the theory and practical applications of Automotive Technology. Measures program or departmental student learning outcomes for continuous student improvement and success. Requires strong computer skills, communication skills, and the ability to interact effectively with a diverse student population.

Selected c andidates must be able to work morning or evening hours, Monday through Thursday .

Minimum Qualifications :

• Diploma in Automotive Technology or related diploma / degree from an accredited post-secondary institution or equivalent.
• Three (3) years of field experience.
• Master ASE Certification or ASE Eligible
• Valid Driver’s License

To be considered for the Adjunct Pool, applicants must upload transcripts, resumes, and certifications with their application. Adjunct Pool applications are for the current academic year, and a new application is required each academic year. Adjuncts are paid on a per-contact-hour basis. All courses are face-to-face unless otherwise indicated. Courses are offered Monday through Thursday during both morning and evening hours. Dual enrollment courses are offered Monday through Friday. Campus locations for this pool are Coweta-CEC, Douglas-CCI, and LaGrange Campuses.
