Position Overview :
Greenlife Healthcare Staffing Inc. seeks qualified Physical Therapists to join the Durham Public Schools team. The PT will provide school-based services supporting students’ mobility, access, and participation in educational settings. The role emphasizes collaborative, student-centered practice under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).

Qualifications :
Education : Doctorate or Master's in Physical TherapyLicensure :Active North Carolina license from the NC Board of Physical Therapy Examiners (NCBPTE).
Successful completion of the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE).Experience : Working with children or in educational environments preferred.Technical Skills :Mobility and functional capacity assessment
Adaptive equipment consultationSoft Skills : Interdisciplinary collaboration, family communication, inclusive practiceAdditional Requirements :Completion of NC DCDEE background check if serving preschool populations.
Required participation in Durham Public Schools’ onboarding and training sessions.Must pass all background screening requirements.Key Responsibilities :
Conduct physical therapy evaluations and re-evaluations per IDEA and DPS policies.Deliver direct therapy and consultation for students with mobility or access challenges.Participate in IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring.Provide expertise on adaptive equipment, positioning, and accessibility.Maintain complete and timely documentation in DPS-approved systems.Collaborate with teachers, families, and other service providers to promote inclusion.
