About The Position

Experience : Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in critical care

License : Active and unencumbered nursing license required prior to start date

Certifications : ACLS, BLS required

Must-Have :

• Previous charge experience
• Ability to manage and interpret dysrhythmias
• Proficient in starting and maintaining IVs
• Experienced in continuous IV sedation and titrating cardiac drips
• Competent in ventilator management and care of ventilated patients

Description :

The role involves working in an open critical care unit with a staffing ratio of 1 : 2, and 1 : 1 in high acuity situations.

Duties include the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, arterial line management, and care for ventilated patients.

Nurses will be responsible for starting and maintaining IVs, as well as titrating cardiac drips.

Experience with respiratory failure, sepsis, heart failure, ST elevation myocardial infarction, and surgical patients is preferred.

Travelers will be required to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed.

Availability for every third weekend is necessary.

The unit staff collaborates with various interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams, physical therapy, and respiratory services.

Candidates must be adaptable and willing to handle a diverse range of patient diagnoses in a critical care setting.
