Summary :

In this role, you will oversee the contract management function for Clinically Preferred items, providing leadership and strategic direction to a team of Category Managers. You will guide contract negotiations, ensure compliance with organizational standards, and foster strong supplier and stakeholder relationships. You will drive value through effective contracting strategies that support organizational goals and align with member needs.

Responsibilities :

Lead and mentor a team of Category Managers specializing in contract management for clinical preference items.

Oversee contract development, negotiation, and execution processes.

Ensure compliance with organizational policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements.

Manage supplier relationships to support strategic sourcing and contracting initiatives.

Collaborate with clinical and operational stakeholders to align contracting strategies with organizational priorities.

Develop and implement strategies to drive value and efficiency in contract management.

Monitor contract performance and address issues to ensure optimal outcomes.

Provide regular reporting and analysis to senior leadership on contracting activities and performance.

Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement in contract management.

Coordinate cross-functional collaboration to achieve contracting objectives.

Qualifications :

Relevant degree preferred.

7 or more years of relevant experience required.

Clinical experience highly preferred.

Strong leadership and people management skills.

Proven experience in contract negotiation and supplier management.

Knowledge of clinical preference items and healthcare contracting highly preferred.

Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Proficiency with contract management systems and tools.

Willingness to travel.

Estimated Hiring Range :

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $102,400.00 to $179,000.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
