Pipe Division-Pipelayer

Position Summary

Supports the pipe crew by doing whatever is necessary to perform safe and efficient pipe installation. Assists in any equipment maintenance when requested and learns to operate equipment as needed / desired. Maintains a positive attitude on the job site and communicates to the Foreman any obstacles impeding safe production and superior performance and quality.

Functional Responsibilities :

• Follow instructions from the Foreman to deliver pipe work that meets Brannan’s quality standards
• Prepares work area for safe / uniform pipe installation
• Maintains clean entrance to the jobsite
• Connects pipe properly
• Establishes and maintains proper line and grade
• Signals for proper bedding amount
• Puts bedding to proper grade
• Proactively communicates with the customer and other Brannan team members to maximize quality and efficiency
• Proactively identifies key job conditions such as grade and soft spots
• Asks for help in areas of limited knowledge and / or experience
• Has a “can-do” attitude when job-site difficulties arise
