Title : Industrial Engineer Location : Appleton, Wisconsin (Onsite only) Employment Type : Full-Time Employee (FTE) – Contract not preferred Eligibility : US Citizens only Experience Required : 4 to 7 years of relevant industrial engineering experience (less than 4 years will not be considered) Mandatory Skills / Keywords : Shopfloor Experience (must-have) Time Study Line Balancing Six Sigma Methodology (DMAIC) Value Stream Mapping (VSM) Lean Manufacturing Job Description : We are seeking a skilled Industrial Engineer to join our team at Pierce Manufacturing. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in process improvement and lean methodologies to optimize efficiency and drive operational excellence. Responsibilities : Conduct time and motion studies to establish labor standards and identify inefficiencies Perform line balancing to optimize task distribution and meet takt time requirements Lead Value Stream Mapping (VSM) workshops to visualize and improve end-to-end processes Apply Six Sigma DMAIC methodology to reduce variation and eliminate defects Design and implement Lean tools such as 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, and Poka-Yoke Analyze workflows, layouts, and material flow to improve throughput and reduce costs Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product introductions and process changes Develop and maintain documentation for SOPs, time standards, and improvement initiatives Monitor KPIs and ensure sustainability of implemented solutions Train and mentor team members on industrial engineering tools and techniques
