About the Role

As a Mechanical Engineer at Coco, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing our robotic delivery vehicles and related products. You will work closely with product managers, electrical and software engineers, operations teams, and external partners to bring innovative hardware solutions from concept through production. Your work will directly impact Coco's mission by improving reliability, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness of our robot fleets. You'll own projects end-to-end-defining requirements, managing timelines, ensuring product quality, and iterating based on user and stakeholder feedback.

About the Team

As a member of our Hardware Engineering team, you'll join a group of creative and driven engineers who are passionate about delivering tangible results. We work at the intersection of mechanical design, electrical systems, manufacturing, and logistics, ensuring our robots are designed and built to support Coco's rapidly growing delivery operations. Our responsibilities include :

• Mechanical Design & Engineering : From initial concept sketches to full-scale production, we design robot assemblies, sub-systems, and components that balance cost, reliability, manufacturability, and user experience.
• Manufacturing & Production : We collaborate with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and internal teams to refine designs, validate prototypes, and efficiently transition to mass production.
• Continuous Improvement : We employ data-driven methodologies to optimize and refine existing hardware systems-improving durability, reducing costs, and increasing scalability.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration : Hardware does not exist in a vacuum. We partner closely with software, operations, and customer-facing teams to ensure that every change we make is aligned with Coco's broader strategic initiatives and product goals.
