Electrician Helper

Assist electrician in the assembly installation testing and maintenance of electrical or electronic wiring equipment appliances apparatus and fixtures using hand tools and power tools. Assist in the diagnosis ofmalfunctioning systems apparatus and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and assist in correcting the problem. This is accomplished by performing the following essential duties and duties may be assigned.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities :

• Gathers tools and supplies to be used at the work site according to the instructions of the electrician.
• Measures cuts and bends wire and conduit using a ruler and hand tools.
• Drills holes for wiring using power drill and pulls or pushes wiring through opening.
• Trace out short circuits in wiring using knowledge of wiring and test meter.
• Assists in lifting positioning or fastening objects such as wiring conduit and motors.
• Performs minor repairs such as replacing fuses light sockets bulbs and switches.
• May disassemble defective electrical equipment replace worn or defective parts and reassemble equipment.
• Maintain current electricians license or identification card to meet state regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required for this Position :

Education no minimum education requirements.

Certification / License : Valid State ID or Drivers License.

Experience 2 years of Journeyman level experience.
