POSITION SUMMARY

The Penetration Tester plans and executes internal and external penetration tests, red team exercises, and security assessments to identify risks and support improvement of HSA's security posture across Windows, server, Azure, and on-premises environments. This role ensures testing methodologies and reporting are aligned with healthcare compliance and HIPAA requirements.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct penetration testing on Microsoft Windows desktop, server, and Azure cloud environments, as well as network infrastructures.

Perform vulnerability assessments and provide actionable remediation recommendations.

Design and execute red team engagements simulating realistic attack scenarios.

Document findings in detailed technical and executive reports.

Collaborate with security engineers and IT teams to validate and remediate findings.

Stay up to date with exploitation techniques, tools, and security assessment methodologies.

Interpret and apply HIPAA security and privacy frameworks within penetration testing methodologies and reporting.

EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent real-world penetration testing and security assessment experience.

3+ years of experience performing penetration testing or red team engagements.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft environments, common attack vectors, and offensive security tools.

Familiarity with HIPAA and other compliance requirements in testing and reporting.

CERTIFICATIONS PREFERRED

OSCP, GPEN, CEH, or similar.
