Grocery Store Clerk

JOB FUNCTION :

Join our team as a Grocery Store Clerk, where you will be essential in maintaining a smooth and efficient grocery department operation. Your skills in stocking shelves, assisting customers, and keeping our store clean and organized will help us deliver an outstanding shopping experience and uphold our commitment to exceptional customer service. RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Deliver exceptional customer service
• Maintain cleanliness by cleaning and sanitizing daily
• Perform cashier duties including checking out customers and operating a POS (Point of Sale) system
• Unload products from delivery trucks for stocking
• Restock shelves with products for customer purchase
• Ensure proper pricing and display of product signage
• Assist customers with bagging groceries and providing 'to your car' carry-out service
• Accurately record and report inventory counts
• Support customers throughout their shopping experience
• Possibility to perform E-Commerce tasks such as picking and bagging customer orders, and delivering orders to customer vehicles
• Other duties as assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS :

Must be at least 14 years old

Availability to work Saturdays and some evenings

Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Team-oriented with strong collaboration skills

Excellent interpersonal abilities

Good verbal communication skills

Basic math skills required

Previous experience in grocery or related fields is a plus, but not necessary

PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

Ability to stand for up to 8+ hours a day

Repetitive physical activities including lifting, reaching, grasping, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, and squatting

Frequently lift 0-20 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

Exposure to varying temperatures and inclement weather
